Is this actually Catholicism-specific?[edit]

This article is imported from the 1913 Catholic Encyclopedia and therefore presents the topic as specific to Catholicism, but a brief search for sources suggests that actually it's a general legal concept, which appears in both civil law and canon law. Does anyone see a reason the article shouldn't be broadened to reflect that?— Moriwen (talk) 20:38, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
