Notability[edit]

While unregistered, this party is running two candidates (as noted on Candidates in the 2020 New Zealand general election by electorate), and thus meets the standard for notability for an NZ political party. --IdiotSavant (talk) 11:18, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi IdiotSavant, can you link to this standard for notability? I can't seem to find it myself. HenryCrun15 (talk) 23:16, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Its not a formal standard, but I've been applying it for over a decade. See e.g. Talk:List of political parties in New Zealand#Inclusion criteria for unregistered parties. If you want to get something formal agreed (how / where?), then I'll support that, and I'm also happy for a more completionist approach. But this has usually been a defensible line against deletions (usually by non-NZ editors) in the past, and it helps ensure that Wikipedia is a useful resource with basic information for the future --IdiotSavant (talk) 23:38, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
