Not much content on Anish Khan. I don't see good reason for a separate page for death of Anish Khan. We can split it later if main article became very large. আফতাবুজ্জামান (talk) 00:13, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Protest against the death of Anish Khan is now one of the biggest protest in India. So I think it's not enough reason for making a merge page for those articles. Sudip Karmakar23 (talk) 09:56, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Merge. There ain't enough significant coverage of the subject with regard to their activism. However, their death is definitely a notable political event as indicated by the coverage. It would make more sense if the articles are merged. --Indianite (talk) 13:43, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Support. No compelling reason for separate articles. Anish Khan's notability seems to have arisen after his death in conjunction with the protests that followed. Woodlot (talk) 15:49, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Merge: Anish Khan's death has got coverage. It will be more appropriate if article Anish Khan be merged to Protest against the death of Anish Khan. But however no need to keep two different articles.AnkurPl 19:57, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Going ahead and closing this out with the clear consensus to Merge. Have to agree with AnkurPl (et. al.) that merge should be from Anish Khan into Protest against the death of Anish Khan, and I would also suggest renaming that article to simply "Death of Anish Khan", with the protests & subsequent political activism as a subsection, but I'll just leave that for future discussion. Will transfer talk pages as well to preserve discussions.Bgv. (talk) 21:40, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
