   Added a column for real-world equivalents where these exist, and cited them. As stated in the article, Tolkien made up many of the proverbs.

   B. It stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style):

   In the section "Making the world real", the article starts by mentioning Hammond and Scull, but then focuses on Crabbe and Shippey without mentioning Hammond and Scull again. It comes off a bit awkward. Hammond and Scull is an important Tolkien resource, but is there a way to reword that so it stays on focus or makes the Hammond and Scull connection a bit more clear?-Pax Verbum 03:10, 3 September 2021 (UTC)

   While images aren't necessarily required, due to the topic, I think there may be some excellent opportunities to include one or two illustrations.

   I actually illustrate my articles quite heavily, but I'm hard put to it to find something definitely on-topic here. Happy to discuss suggestions.

   Indeed. What about something that can go with the conversation between Gimli and Elrond, or better yet and perhaps more applicable to the article itself, an illustration of Strider, especially as he is initially seen in Bree? -Pax Verbum 05:18, 31 August 2021 (UTC)

   Concluding comments: Overall this was a delightful foray into the world of Middle-earth with Tolkien's use of proverbs and other turns of phrase. For you and future editors, I would say that this good article has some opportunity for growth; I have an inkling that an even deeper exploration of the topic may yield some fascinating results.
