Linothorax assumption[edit]

there is zero evidence in the written or archeological record that a linothorax was made of linen. Ancient Greek was a descriptive language made of small root words combined to form larger words in order to convey a concept. The 'lino' (or linen) root within the word linothorax is just as likely to refer to its texture or outward appearance as it is it's construction. 142.117.88.72 (talk) 01:28, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
