Notability[edit]

This stub article doesn't say why a Pulju moraine is different from other types of moraine, other than being in Finland. Please establish WP:NOTABILITY. Compare to the article on Rogen moraine. Reify-tech (talk) 19:24, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sources the publications of Finlands Geological Survey or those in the journal Boreas establish notability per significant coverage. But distinctiviness is another thing. I hope my last addictions makes clear what is distinctive of them. Otherwise I would be good to have access to a comparative study of Fennoscandian moraines, if there is such. Thank you for your recent additions. I did some modest copyedit cleanups, added some Wikilinks, and discovered that there are still some geological terms that aren't yet covered in Wikipedia, and which should be the subject of future articles.
It still would be nice to get some pictures of a Pulju moraine and/or a Veiki moraine, or at least some topographic maps with the landforms clearly visible. Reify-tech (talk) 18:07, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate your input. I have searched for pictures but could not find any. As the article states the rims of Pulju moraines raises only 1 to 5 meters above the ground surface so I guess it must be difficult to capture the shape in a photograph if the area is forested. Perhaps some landscape pictures taken from the skiing-hill at Kittilä might capture the Pulju moraine landscape... Dentren | Talk 10:11, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
