§ for qepHom Saarbrücken[edit]

Though the title of this article is qepHom, most of the content is devoted to qepHom Saarbrücken. An argument could be made for splitting the article, but

  1. that would leave very little about qepHommey in the general sense
  2. some links to this article refer to the general sense, others are specific for the Saarbrücken gathering
  3. I'm way too tired to do anything like that now

So I've added a new level-2 section header for qepHom Saarbrücken and demoted the Saarbrücken sections to level 3 under it. If you want to talk with me about it, please {{ping}} me. --Thnidu (talk) 06:43, 8 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Thnidu,
only today I saw your changes, and I agree with them entirely. I only moved one section, because it was about qepHommey in general. On the German version of the article, I did not change it though, because in Germany it has really become the case that when somebody says "qepHom", he actually means "qepHom Saarbrücken". It's like klingonists talking about the qep'a', they mean the KLI's annual meeting, although it could actually apply to any kind of meeting - even including the "qepHom Saarbrücken". -- Lieven (talk) 14:35, 18 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This article seems more like an advert for the German qepHom than actual information about all the different qepHommey that have been hosted all over the world for the past 20+ years. Perhaps what needs to happen is an article called qep should be created that includes information on the qep'a', the German qepHom and other qepHommey around the world. It seems very odd to have an article for only one of the minor meetings, but not an article for the major meeting where the majority of new Klingon language information has been released. --Qurgh (talk) 20:06, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Although really not intended as an "advert", I agree that the article is mainly about the Saarbrücken qepHom, mainly because the German qepHom has grown to a large, regular meeting, while I have never heard of any similar meetings of the same size anywhere else. If there is any, they should definitely be listed in this page as well! As for the qep’a’, I definitely recommend to call the page qep'a', and not just qep, because qep is just a simple klingon word meaning "gathering", while THE qep’a’ is THE annual meeting of the KLI and has also become some kind of proper name. (BTW, qepHom Saarbrücken has become more than a "minor meaning" in the literal sense, and there has also been a big amount of new Klingon language information released there. It's a true qep’a’, but I don't call it like that since most people know qep’a’ as the KLI's annual meeting.)
Go ahead and follow the spirit of Wikipedia: expand this page, or create qep'a'. -- Lieven (talk) 09:04, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
