Does it have to use nitrogen[edit]
It says "a quaternary compound is a cation consisting of a central positively charged nitrogen atom with four substituents" but then lists some without nitrogen. - Should we replace 'nitrogen' by say 'trivalent' ? - Rod57 (talk) 13:23, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
The article has been edited for consistency with binary compound and ternary compound.Rgdboer (talk) 03:22, 8 November 2016 (UTC)

Furthermore, two See also links have been restored.
