Fair use rationale for Image:Queerseveninch.jpg[edit]

Image:Queerseveninch.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:42, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong links to videos on youtube[edit]

The links to the videos on youtube are wrong. At least I get an "invalid video ID"-message when clicking the link. Without the '/' at the end the links work fine. However, a bot reverted my edit so now the links are wrong again. -.-
Any way to correct the links permanently without the bot getting upsed? --84.142.240.140 (talk) 16:26, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be reviewing this nomination. Toa Nidhiki05 15:41, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)

As a whole this is a very solid article and I doubt there are any major issues. I have not conducted a prose or citation check at the moment, but I will do so soon. I do not expect there to be any significant issues and I think this has a very good shot at passing GA.

  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
Album meets criteria 1b; I will make a comprehensive check of 1a later.
Just a few errors in 1a.
Split "It also earned attention with its music video by Stéphane Sednaoui, which featured Manson detaining, stripping and shaving a man from a first-person perspective, and earned much airplay on MTV and was nominated for Breakthrough Video at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards." into two sentences. It is very long as is and would be better suited as two sentences.
Put a comma after AKAI samplers in the sentence "AKAI samplers and a small drum kit".
I'm not going to require the # symbols be changed to 'number' because it isn't required (to my knowledge) in GA criteria, but a future FA review would probably require it. Just a heads up there. :)
No need for the comma after 'Garbage' in the phrase "Upon both the release of Garbage, and the release of "Queer" as a single".
I don't see any other glaring errors although I would suggest a thorough copyedit before any FA nomination to find any errors I may have missed.
  1. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
Per WP:GACN, criteria 2a and 2c are met. I will do a comprehensive check of all citations to see if this passes 2b later.
I think the citations are all good and they follow a consistent date format, so 2b passes
  2. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
Both criteria are met; the article covers all major aspects of the song including recording, release, music video, and charts.
  3. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
Article is not a plug for the song and doesn't represent it as anything it isn't.
  4. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
As there are no edit wars on this page criteria 5 is met.
  5. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
All images have non-free media disclaimers. Music video images have solid reasoning as to why it is allowed.
  6. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
    Looks like this all passes! Toa Nidhiki05 03:01, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
