ROBODOC is a movie with Alan Thicke.

Potential research project for some student(s): Resolve conflicting information for initial inspiration and release date[edit]

In the upper right, it lists the release date as 1994, but the History section and other wiki pages all say 1995, e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_documentation_generators.

Also, and this might be just a minor point, the introduction claims it is/was based on Javadoc, but the history clarifies the initial inspiration occured within the Amiga development environment. Since Javadoc itself was also released about the same time, was ROBODoc in part an immediate reaction to it, or did they initially evolve concurrently?

In other words, the current wording in the introduction is somewhat confusing, perhaps even misleading, as to whether the release of Javadoc provided some of the initial impitus. What was Javadoc's influence and contribution? Did it in some way spur ROBODoc's initial development or release? Or, did the interactions come later?

A fine place to look for clarification could be release notes and discussion emails between developers.

But that only addresses half the problem. Once good sources have been identified, which could be a complete project all on its own, then most likely wordsmithing a good summary of the actual development evolution might well be enough to justify another project as well.
