The current article shows once more how idiotic it is to equate "La Liga" with "Primera División". Racing was always part of La Liga, but only 30odd years in the First Division. Ondundozonananandana (talk) 22:18, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Origin of Players[edit]

Why only in one case a regional flag (Basque)appears after Spanish. I think we must make a decision, or all player are represented by their national and regional flag, or only by national or only by regional. But differentiate in this case is discriminate.i.e:

Javier Irureta
José Moratón
Damiá

As this is not reasonable, at least in not spanish version, due to the ignorance in relation to spanish regional flags, I would choose to use national flags, and regional only in the article of players. (Please, if somebody answer me, avoid talking about the national feelings, and other political themes; I just keep the current organization of the spanish state)

2nd flags?[edit]

Why are there second flags inserted for certain players e.g an EU flag for Stephane and Wilfred Dalmat?? Can anybody please explain?

1936 Algiers invitational tournament[edit]

The second reference provided previously was a url to that now seems to be a dead. This has been replaced by a live weblink.

Also the 1st reference provided on the tournament while perfectly valid cannot be verified without a copy of the book referenced. The weblink mentioned in the previous paragraph to replace the deadlink not only verifies the book reference but also contains an image of the tournament program

Correct naming[edit]

Please note that this club is known by Racing de Santander, only known by Racing Club to its supporters or to its own structure. Also note that several clubs hold the name Racing Club, including other two in Spain (Racing Club Portuense and Racing de Ferrol, aside from the defunct Racing de Madrid).
