Un-referenced statements (July 2009)[edit]

There are various un-cited statements in the article; about the area being a historical site, and about logistical problems with the proposed rail services. I can't find references for these claims. Can anyone else? I propose the remove them in a few days if they can't be substantiated and I get no objections. PeterEastern (talk) 10:18, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have removed the following text as per above note: "As the regularity of the trains of the mainline cannot be increased, due to the excess of single track between Wroxham and Sheringham, an individual service would have to be created.[citation needed] This poses extra problems, such as trying to find additional space at Norwich railway station to house these trains, and for boarding.[citation needed]" PeterEastern (talk) 06:37, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New and old Salhouse stations[edit]

I suggest that we assume that the old railway station will be closed at the time that the new station is opened. I have therefore removed this text from the main article: "According to the plans, a new rail station is to be built within 300m of the existing rail station. The main issue is that the new station is deemed unnecessary, as there is an existing station well within walking distance, and if the two stations were built, the trains would not be able to stop at both stations." PeterEastern (talk) 08:41, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Weirdly, the plans and comments on their website state that both stations will remain operational. References added Tom Self (talk) 12:44, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Un-referenced comments in rail section (August 2009)[edit]

There were a number of un-referenced claims about rail services. The reference given for the problems of running a more frequent service is not really an appropriate reference[1] I will move them from the main page to this section of the talk page within a few days if references are not provided. PeterEastern (talk) 08:32, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Added the references, as they were from emails between myself and National Express. I wasn't sure how to add references from emails initially, but all is sorted now. Tom Self (talk) 12:44, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
