Talk:Rail transport in Guinea

Hard to find definitive information on the rail system. Last I knew, the Conakry-Kankan line was not functioning at all - a state of affairs dating to the early 1980s or so. The WP article on Guinea has an uncited statement to this effect. Online info is sometimes ambiguous - some claiming that there is even freight traffic on the line[1]. There could be confusion with whatever rail line serves the bauxite mines - those would be functioning and well maintained but not afaik connected to the Conakry-Kankan line.--A12n (talk) 08:37, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
