Ram Rebel TRXRam 1500 TRX – Appears to be the official name of the truck. Current article "1500 TRX" redirects to makes no mention of the truck outside of an infobox. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 03:44, 12 March 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 22:28, 19 March 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. 🐶 EpicPupper (he/him | talk) 02:12, 27 March 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. 🐶 EpicPupper (he/him | talk) 07:13, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 18:58, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Blaze Wolf: It looks like Rebel is just one of several 1500 trim levels per the fifth generation article currently targetted by the redirect. E.g. "Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Rebel, and Laramie". -2pou (talk) 03:54, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • @2pou: Yes. The TRX is pretty much another trim level of the fifth generation. IT's pretty much Ram's version of the Ford F-150 Raptor. Maybe this would do better as a section on the 5th gen article. I don't know. I'd really just like to improve it as much as I can right now and then if need be just merge it into the fifth gen article. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 04:05, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • I agree with merging rather than renaming. Trim levels seldom justify their own article unless they stand the test of time. Yes, there are several sources, but there is so much media, it isn't hard to get a couple of sources for something that it better covered in the parent article. • Merge instead - The "production rumors" section is unencylclopedic and referenced to sources that probably aren't particularly reliable. The "in media" section shouldn't be included either, which leaves very little content for an article to stand on its own - and most of that is for the concept, not the production vehicle. --Sable232 (talk) 23:56, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: moved. minimal participation, but was relisted and given enough time. As for rewrites / merges, this only affects the title and any of that is up to the editors who are interested. (closed by non-admin page mover) ASUKITE 17:02, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ram Rebel TRXRam 1500 TRX – Reopening this name change discussion. Strides have been made in making this an article about both the prototype and the production version of this truck. The various variants of the Ram 1500 do have their own pages. Likewise, Ford’s high performance trim also has its own page. RickyCourtney (talk) 05:03, 22 November 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. Bensci54 (talk) 13:45, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support - There should also be a small section on the TRX on the main 5th gen Ram page, similarly to how the Raptor is. With that being said though, the article does need to be rewritten, as it feels like it's much more about the concept car, rather than the actual production model; the sections on the concept and production history could probably be slimmed down considerably.
