Capitals

• Why creating this page using lowercase letters if later on the article the word RAM is written using capitals? I just wanted to propose the idea of creating the page with a heading like this "RAM Trucks Division (Chrysler Group) (link)" or something similar. The "Ram" itself now refers to the automobile. I suggest to move the contents of this article to Ram (brand) as an article about the brand while use this one as an article about the Ram itself with Dodge Ram redirecting here.65.92.25.137 (talk) 21:39, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

See my response on Talk:Dodge Ram. This article should discuss the brand as it has existed since late 2009. Information on the pickup truck model should stay in the original article. Ram is a brand, and while the trucks formerly known as Dodge Ram (and the Heavy Duty variants) are the only models in the brand lineup right now, that could change. --Vossanova ^o< 22:04, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

Actually, there are currently 4 vehicles in the brand: the Ram 1500, the Ram 2500/3500, the cabin Ram chassis truck and the Dakota truck. While the Ram may be referenced as "Dodge Ram", the name "Ram (automobile)" is clearly improper. I moved the article to Ram (brand) for now, but can be changed to Ram Trucks if properly discussed, although the latter one is not a formal company name. Ram (Dodge division) and Ram (Dodge trucks) might be another possibility. Shadiac (talk) 21:08, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

In fact, Dodge trucks was a division of Dodge while Ram Trucks is now its subsidiary (meaning it's a company of its own with a CEO, just under Dodge, which is now a merger of Chrysler LLC and Fiat). It's a simple commercial move to promote the name of pick-up trucks so that cars could be differentiated from trucks.65.92.25.137 (talk) 05:23, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Templates

The new division needs new templates {{Dodge}} and {{Dodge Truck Timeline}} are no longer appropriate. I suggest {{Ram Chrysler}} and {{Ram Truck Timeline}} be created. 76.66.192.35 (talk) 05:31, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Ram-branded trucks can stay on the Dodge truck timeline for the time being. I added "/ Ram" to the template title at the top (the template name remains the same so we won't break any articles). --Vossanova ^o< 16:44, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

It will *not* cause confusion, since it DELINEATES the different divisions, the current timeline causes confusion because it JUMBLES two together, so you can't tell what is which division. Why wouldn't you just merge every Chrysler division into a single template then? Requested move

Name

Ram Trucks seems to be the best name for this article. Ram (brand) is okay, but I think Ram Trucks is best. Dincher (talk) 04:53, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Military vehicles

None of those military vehicles had the "Ram" name. They should not be put in the "Ram brand" page because they were never baged as Rams. They should be moved to another article.

Current Vehicles

If you go to Ram's website, these are the following cars there:

• Ram 1500
• Ram 2500 & 3500
• Ram Chassis Cab
• Ram Dakota
• Ram Laramie Longhorn
• Ram Outdoorsman
