Marketing bollocks[edit]

It looks like an advertising copyeditor has vomited over this article. Anyone fancy cleaning it up to read in a more neutral and suitable tone? --Biker Biker (talk) 10:38, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Land Rover question[edit]

Copied here from my talkpage:

hi, how these new Range Rovers differs from old ones? what means badged`? Range Rover has always been "own" brand made by Land Rover, if you use Land Rover in infobox the actual page should be renamed also.

All Range Rovers have the "Land Rover" badge on them (e.g. on the left side of the front grille here). That is their make with "Range Rover" being their model. They are commonly arranged under "Land Rover" in price listings, review listings, etc. I agree though that they are also commonly know as just "Range Rovers", in the same way that, say, Porsche 911s are often know as just 911s. -- DeFacto (talk). 15:39, 28 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I know they are Land Rover models, but in most cases Range Rover is seen as own brand not as just model, espoeically now when Range has own submodels like Velar etc, this seems very odd "Land Rover Range Rover Velar", we need more opinions of this. -->Typ932 T·C 16:31, 28 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I agree it's a bit of a mouthful, but it is the full make/model construct and is common. Here are a few examples in the literature: WhatCar, Auto Express, Parkers, CarWow, Buy A car. -- DeFacto (talk). 16:59, 28 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
