I have recently come into possession of bearer bonds issued by the Ranger, Texas School District. These bonds were issued in 1923 and were to mature in 1926 at 5% annually. apparently, my grandmother bought them and put them in a drawer where they lay for 90 years until discovered by my sister after our grandmother's death. Payment was to have been made by the Hanover Bank, New York, NY. That bank was bought by Chase Bank in the early 2000's. Are they worth anything?
