History section "merge" (Rapperswil#History and Rapperswil-Jona#History)[edit]

Hi. Please take notice: Actual history section of Rapperswil is more complete than history of Rapperswil-Jona. [Edit] Proposal: Reduce history in Rapperswil-Jona as follows:

History

In 2003 [Better: On January 1, 2007,] the municipalities of Rapperswil and Jona merged to form a new political entity. Rapperswil-Jona has a population of 25,777 (17,799 from Jona and 7,601 from Rapperswil). This makes it the second largest town in the canton after the capital St. Gallen itself.

Sounds good to me. The history of the Counts of Rapperswil shouldn't be in both articles (IMHO). -- User:Docu

Comment: literature and some references added, some minor additions as well 'Genealogy' as a list started. "House of Rapperswil" as title may be changed, guessed more accurate then 'Counts', 'Lords' etc, please see history, kr Roland zh 19:43, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
