• In Arabic it is written --l-r-- in unvowelled writing, --lr₂-- in vowelled writing with a shadda sign, and pronounced --rr--. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 21:26, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
• This is a case of bad translation, the name is "Raqqa District" and then the Arabic "Al-" is supposed to be before it.--Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 09:53, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
