Rhyming slang[edit]

Regarding the insertion made by 197.34.98.23 today: the rhyming slang definition is nothing to do with the topic of the article – we don't talk about feet in the article on plate or stairs in apple (see Rhyming slang). Well that's interesting. There is the issue of balance, however. The mention in Mae West is a tiny proportion of the entire article, whereas in Raspberry Ripple, it amounts to nearly half the content. Overall, I'm not really interested in arguing about nipples and puddings right now. I'm inclined to leave it alone, even though there is a small consensus against you. This is crazy. Its use in rhyming slang is a noteworthy part of the term in popular culture in the anglosphere. Comparing page hits for the term as icecream and slang shows this. There is ample precedent for citing a term's use in rhyming slang in entries: e.g. Barnet Fair, Ruby Murray, stitching awl, J. Arthur Rank and many more. Furthermore, had you taken more care when editing, you would have noticed that you reverted an unrelated edit.
