"NASCAR's first champion"/"1949"[edit]

  • Previous version of text ignored NASCAR's first year of sanctioning, 1948, when the Modified division was their only series. Seemed to suggest NASCAR began when the Strictly Stock division first ran, just because that's what became Grand National > Winston Cup > Nextel Cup. Fortunately, Byron won the first year of each, so this will be an easy fix. Barno 04:19, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • I just added complete results, so iy'll be easier to check them without having to check multiple pages to find all of them. Luckily, he only raced 3 seasons, but I can tell you it takes a relatively long time to do. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.66.202.12 (talk) 12:09, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

uumm - what[edit]

Article says "The doctors helped partially help his leg, but he needed a special set up to race." 2001:56A:F414:D300:8597:1F12:E19E:2282 (talk) 06:49, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Why is there a "living person" template at the top of the page?[edit]

Red Byron died in 1960, there's no reason why this template should be on his article. (And nobody still alive is discussed on the page either.) SenatorKnowledge (talk) 18:17, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
