Hi All, I hope you can help me out. Does anybody remember an amphibious Radio controlled truck thing that was advertised on the TV in the UK in around 1983 ish? I have done searches on eBay for about a year with no luck. I can almost remember its name, something like Meauder, Feauder or Marauder. the advert had this thing driving over land then splashing into a pond I think then after swimming to the other side it scrambled out and continued to drive over land with water all dripping off it. I WANT ONE! I saw one in a shop back then but my father wouldn't let me have it. Does any body remember? even if you could help me with the name of make would be good. A colector i spoke to thinks it was made by REMCO. At the same time on the TV was Roughriders 4x4 and Boomering thing thanks for reading this, fingers crossed
The collector thinks is was made by Azrak-Hamway or Remco under the Power
Command line of radio controlled cars. He said after much searching, it is
also the only company that created an Amphibious RC car from
that era. It appears to be extremely rare
He said It was available in 1980 and 1981, It had a 6 function radio control, It was marketed and sold under the Power Command line by Azrak-Hamway, It was model number: 4033, It was called: Amphibious Sportsman II in the USA and must have been renamed for the UK market
Any information would be great, a picture or anybody that remembers it would be fantastic!

Forgotten toy made by Remco[edit]
It seems that a doll manufatured by Remco in or around 1973 was over looked in it's list of toys. It was called the "Mimi Doll" and stood around 19" tall with long blond hair. She came with 8 tiny records that, when inserted in a door in her back, made her appear to sing "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing" in 8 different languages. I was given this doll as an x-mas gift by my grandmother and I played with it constantly. Unfortunately I was only 3 at the time and those little discs got lost or ruined quickly and Mimi's inner record player broke very quickly. I have been looking for another one to give as a gift to my mother who would absolutely flip out with joy if I could find it. I have found a couple here & there, none of them working and usually with no more than 1 record, if any. There's another one, that isn't forgotten, but completely missing off this page, Baby Laugh A Lot, which has been getting a lot of attention recently for being the "scariest child's toy ever made". Those terrific science kits?? Not mentioned???[edit]
Not one mention of those terrific science kits from the 1960's? I loved those kits! Every now and then, my father would bring me a new one--and I'd tinker with it for hours!
I actually came here to check if they came from Remco, or might they have been Mattel or Hasbro. I've found out elsewhere that they ARE Remco; you can still find things on line--and apparently even buy them.
They came in cylindrical cardboard containers with metal ends. There was a main series of them in one size, and several more ambitious projects in a larger size. 140.147.236.194 (talk) 15:28, 21 March 2011 (UTC)Stephen Kosciesza
Remco Cassette Recorder[edit]
A company named Remco or Remco Inter was manufacturing reel-to-reel tape recorders and radio-cassette recorders in the 1970s in Europe. Remco 105 a cassette recorder (no radio). A smaller one named Remco 102 was also offered.
