I've created this rather stub-like page to provide the link between the geological modelling and reservoir simulation modelling articles. Otherwise, we only have the horribly vendor-specific page Seismic to simulation to cover the whole workflow. We might want to move some general material from that page, although the more specific geologic modeling and reservoir simulation articles should cover it. When things have settled down, I propose that we delete "Seismic to simulation". Andy Beer (talk) 21:09, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

Merger proposal[edit]

A few years ago, there was an informal discussion in favor of merging Seismic to simulation into this article. All the reasons for doing so still apply - so perhaps it's time to do it. RockMagnetist (talk) 21:06, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
