Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because... since this article was last deleted this player has had multiple lengthy profiles/articles written specifically about him in national UK media ("Rhian Brewster: England U17’s natural finisher on the fast-track at Liverpool" - the Guardian, "Rhian Brewster: 'I've never seen a player like him before'" - the BBC) and his play in the U17 World Cup has received international media attention ("FIFA U-17 World Cup: Rhian Brewster, the Liverpool boy who grabbed the spotlight in India" - The Indian Express, "Brewster, the English jewel that dreams of being Luis Suárez" - Sport ES). He is now very clearly is notable under GNG. I very much doubt whoever nominated this page bothered to look at the justification for creating it... --Arials101 (talk) 19:06, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. There is now more than enough in depth coverage from multiple independent reliable secondary sources to pass both GNG and ANYBIO. I am accordingly declining the CSD G4 nomination. -Ad Orientem (talk) 00:38, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Zero stats?[edit]

Whats with listing the zero stats in that table that seems utterly pointless. Govvy (talk) 20:45, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I assume it was because he was registered with the first team from 2017, but it makes little sense to me either. Liam E. Bekker (talk) 20:49, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The first row in the table should be his first recorded senior game, not zero stats, there is also some policy against listing zero data and wasting server space somewhere. Govvy (talk) 20:59, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've taken the liberty of removing it. Liam E. Bekker (talk) 21:04, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
k, cheers, I am watching the insane game against Arsenal he is playing in! That's another stat to add when this monster of a scoreline is finished! Govvy (talk) 21:07, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The "zero stats" are relevant as Brewster was involved in his club's first team in those seasons. And it is disingenuous to state in the infobox that his senior career started in 2019, when he was first involved in a first-team matchday squad in April 2017 and signed his first professional contract in June 2018. Mattythewhite (talk) 21:17, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
That table is for matches played, not the amount of times he has sat on the bench! Govvy (talk) 21:25, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, and in those seasons he didn't play any matches. I never mentioned anything about listing the amount of times he was an unused substitute. You're attacking a straw man. Mattythewhite (talk) 21:59, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Attacking a straw man? Never heard that term before! :/ Govvy (talk) 22:14, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Stats[edit]

I don’t how who, if anyone, can edit this, but his stats for appearances for Liverpool are false. It says that he hasn’t made a competitive appearance for Liverpool, yet later in the article it states that he did make one, in an EFL Cup fixture against MK Dons. Also, and I don’t know if this counts as a professional appearance or not, although I think it does, he also played in the 2020/21 Community Shield match against Arsenal KevinDeFoden (talk) 10:26, 3 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @KevinDeFoden:, on Wikipedia, a player's infobox displays league statistics only which is why it currently displays zero appearances for Liverpool. Thanks. Kosack (talk) 10:28, 3 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ah right okay that clears things up thank you KevinDeFoden (talk) 11:08, 3 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
