His positions in private enterprise[edit]

The Univision website that's a cited source here states (and it is parroting Martinelli's campaign website while doing so):

Can a knowledgeable person weed out the fluff and state in the article which of these are the important ones? How is it that he runs 5 companies? Article currently also says he's chairman of the board of Super 99, not the president. Tempshill (talk) 03:12, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Economic claims[edit]

I removed the sentence "Since taking office in 2009, Ricardo Martinelli and his Administration have initiated a series of economic reforms and major infrastructure investments that have turned the economy into a regional leader, attracted major foreign direct investment, improved Panama’s fiscal position, and laid the groundwork for continued long-term growth.", since it didn't appear supported by the given source.[1] S&P speaks well of Panama's financial position, but doesn't give any credit to Martinelli; rather, it speaks of Panama's growth as a continuing trend. -- Khazar2 (talk) 19:38, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Mr.Presidente siga con su progama de gobierno que lo esta haciendo muy bien, el problema con las personas que no tienen vision de na mejor vida con una mente tan Enana, que no pueden pensar mas haya de sus narises, Nuestro pais tiene una posicion muy invidiable en comparacion con otros paises Latinos. Article needs to talk about his scandals[edit]

He is a convicted criminal now as his last appeal to reverse his 128 month prison sentence has been denied. Also the article mixes foreign reliable sources with questionable sources which seems to support a favorable view of him. His article in Spanish is more critical of him and I'm reluctant to edit this article because I am not neutral about this Pancho507 (talk) 02:48, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
