1894 - an early stuffed bear by German toy company Gebrüder Sussenguth.
1897 - Steiff company toy has toy bear in catalogue and at toy fair
1899 - Margaret Steiff gets patent on a few soft toy bears
1902 - Morris Michtom sells the first "Teddy’s Bear" in his toy shop in the U.S.
