I have deleted content indicating the Greener could not attend public school in Boston because of the color of his skin. Boston had a public Black-only school since 1808. Boston integrated its schools in 1855. SEE: https://www.nps.gov/boaf/learn/historyculture/abiel-smith-school.htm
