Supernatural tv show[edit]

It would be great if someone more talented than I could add the information of Ricks reoccurring role as Lucifer's "vessel" Vince Vincent on the CW TV show "Supernatural" in season 12. He was one of Lucifers vessels, he played famous rock star Vince Vincent. He excepted Lucifer after Lucifer played on his mind using Vince ex girlfriend who died from a over dose. Lucifer made Vince believe his girlfriend wanted to let her inside Vince he was so heartbroken that he said yes, and Lucifer took over Vince's body. Lucifer started killing Vince's band members then he had this groupie who loved Vince so much that Lucifer was able to talk this young lady into cutting his full name Vince Vincent into her chest not missing a letter. Then Vince(Lucifer)had his producer stab himself in the neck with a pin. He was planning on killing alot more people alot of kids and adults at his concert that night, until Dean, Sam, Cast, and Crowley came and they worked Lucifer over until Vince Vincent's body started to wear out and started shriveling up. Then Lucifer left Vince's body and Vince Vincent body was left lying on the ground looking like a shriveled up prune.DEAD! Problem with chronology[edit]

From February 2001 through December 2002, Springfield performed in EFX Alive! at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas with great success, pleasing both critics and audiences. The show was a hit for its entire run, with Rick adding new songs and segments that made it uniquely his. EFX Alive! ended in December of 2000 - okay, did it end in 2000, even though it didn't begin until 2001? RickK 05:10, 17 Feb 2004 (UTC)

New album[edit]

There is a NEW Rick Springfield album put out this year, I changed the date to reflect this and someone put it back to 2004. Why?

In addition to the above statement: Rick Springfield - The Day After Yesterday, (c)&(p)2005 Gomer/DKE Records.

The unsourced statement about Linda Blair allegedly advising Springfield to go into acting has been removed because according to the A&E documentary video "Behind the Image", that advice did not come from Ms. Blair, rather, it came from the ex-wife of a friend of Springfield.

Paging Dr. Drake Ramoray?[edit]

Is Dr. Drake Ramoray, the fictional Doctor played by fictional character Joey Tribbiani, (who, in turn, is played by real actor Matt LeBlanc), on the sitcom Friends inspired by Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital?

If so, this would be obvious, if not convoluted fodder for a trivia section.

Rumor regarding the "Beginnings" Album from 1972[edit]

I noticed that it says "citation needed" regarding that fact which came from the A&E documentary video "Behind The Image." How does one attribute a televised/available on Video program as a citation here at Wikipedia? or does it need to be something readily found online? I'm sure some other site has that info too.

Need for page protection on this entry[edit]

As of late, there have been several attempts to vandalize this page. People are imputting information here about Springfield's personal life that clearly violates the guidelines for biographies for living persons as stated at the top of this talk page: Controversial material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced. If one goes back into the previous pages, they will see that the "information" was definitely false and/or libelous. For that reason, on 9/26/06, I attempted to put the entry on "semi-protect" but today 9/27/07, I discover it was removed by some "bot." Why? Blatantly false information re: Springfield's marriage was posted here on February 6. It has been subsequently removed as it is harmful information. Whoever is putting that sort of libel here here needs to read the Wikipedia page re: Biographies of Living Persons, paying particular attention to the section of marital status. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biographies_of_living_persons. @Doniago - Maybe a better way to handle this would be to be more specific about those statements with cn tags?
At the moment you have a vague tag and it seems IMHO that you have set up a treasure hunt where the tag will only be removed when you are satisfied that all your percieved issues are fixed without giving anyone a clue as to what it is you feel those issues are
If your intention here is to fix the article and not some issue over having your tag removed I suggest you remove the tag, tag the SECTION not the WHOLE article and put the cn tags in where the actual issues are - or at the very least quote the contended statements on the talk page with your suggestions
An edit war, nice avoidance of 3RR btw, WILL NOT achieve anything - neither will the actions you made on Deb's talkpage (Wikipedia:Don't template the regulars) Plus the conversations at User_talk:Rodhullandemu#Rick_Springfield seem to imply that your last revert was maybe against consensus ?

I grant that what initially drew my attention to this was the removal of the template without any explanation, and that when an explanation was provided (i.e. when my reinsertion of the template was removed initially) the explanation provided didn't seem sufficient...I believe at that point I asked for discussion on the Talk page, which didn't ensue. I didn't go over the article to check what points still needed sourcing until posting my above message...I would guess that since the tag was originally posted a lot of unsourced material has already been removed, but that wasn't made clear. I'm content to put in specific CN tags if the consensus is that the article itself is generally sufficiently sourced.
Regarding any suggestion that I have a personal stake in this, I'll just say that I have no idea who put in the original tag...it certainly could have been me, but I don't recall. My concern was simply the removal of a template without (clear) explanation.
Given that I'm not exactly a newcomer to WP myself, I really don't feel comfortable being yelled at (as all-caps suggests) or the suggestion that I was somehow trying to circumvent 3RR. In fact, if anyone felt that I -was- trying to do that I'd hope someone would have given me a 3RR advisory as policy recommends.
It's frankly a bit vexing that from where I'm standing my edits have been in good faith and explanations for my changes have always been provided, yet while other editors are acting against my edits while making their motives unclear (to me, at least) I'm the one whose edits and motives are being called into question. I forgot that caps can be seen as shouting - it was only done to emphasise - perhaps they should have been in bold or italics. As I stated, my intention was to try and help avoid conflict and so my intention was certainly not to add fuel to the fire.
I mentioned the 3RR as it may well have been a coincidence that the revert was at 11 minutes past midnight and that your part of the world may be in a different timezone. I admit that, after reading it again now, it could have been taken as sarcasm rather than the way it was actually meant. It is my understanding that editors who have conflicts which approach 3RR have to sit back and take time out to think about their actions; and you did that - my comment was made in appreciation of that very fact - time out and then decision and certainly not meant to imply that you were gaming the system in any way.
If I thought you were a malicious editor or were trying to game the system I would not have tried to introduce humour in an attempt to defuse the situation as I did on your talk page.

What does this mean?[edit]

He came close to having another top 40 pop hit but during the late 1970s concentrated mostly on a burgeoning acting career, guest starring in a number of prime time television dramas.

How are we supposed to understand this? He had a song that made, say, 45th place? If so, what was the song? Or did he just feel like "could have had a hit," but focused on TV, instead?

The citation quoted as the source for this only says In 1976, 'Wait for Night' and 'Take a Hand' were promising, but Universal dropped him. and then goes on to talk about his TV career. Housekeeping[edit]

The information re: spouse has been removed as it is incorrect. Springfield did not marry her when she was 18. They married in 1984, and as she was born in 1961, that would put her at age 23.

Information on the series seems scarce -- the Wikipedia link on the High tide disambiguation page is a redlink, and even iMDB doesn't have key details such as broadcast/syndication history (plus iMDB is rarely seen as a reliable source). Music section[edit]

The music section needs expansion and has been tagged accordingly. It stops abruptly in 1985 and says nothing about any of Springfield's later musical output. (There were three sentences about post-1985 material; however, one was unsourced and the other two were unreliably sourced, so I removed them.) I am no Rick Springfield expert, but there is a bunch of stuff listed in his discography here that is post-1985. It seems to me that there should be at least a few paragraphs about that period.
