Top scoring Englishman in the Premier League 2012-2013[edit]

Lambert was the highest scoring Englishman in the Premier League for the 2012-2013 season. This has often been mentioned by the British media and is a pretty notable achievement thus should be mentioned in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.229.227.220 (talk) 13:58, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Given name[edit]

If Lambert's given name is simply Rickie, how come every one of his former clubs' (and Soton's) sites list him as Richard Lambert? I think it's pretty obvious. Andre666 (talk) 14:28, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You may not know that the player profile pages on most club websites are published centrally by the Official Football Sites network (used to be PTV), so the page titles will all be the same, and quite likely in this case based on someone at PTV assuming that a person known as Rickie must "really" be called Richard. Can't think of a good reason why they didn't just use the player's common name, but that's by the by. The source cited in this article for Lambert's full name, Hugman's PFA Player Records book, is as definitive a reliable secondary source as you'll get for post-war player details. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 16:14, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Top Scorer[edit]

Apologies if I'm wrong, but doesn't the football league only consist of 3 divisions (Championship, L1, L2) as the Premier League is a separate entity? If so the passage stating "top scorer in all 4 divisions of the Football League" is factually incorrect and should be more along the lines of "top scorer in all 4 divisions of the English Football League System". Someone better schooled in football terminology should be able to help! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.31.211.91 (talk) 04:24, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Place of Birth[edit]

The infobox says he was born in Glasgow but the text says he's from Merseyside - Which is right? KingStrato (talk) 20:31, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article says he was born in Liverpool. This is wrong. He was born in Kirkby, Merseyside. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.170.205.195 (talk) 22:57, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a source for this? Mattythewhite (talk) 23:04, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request on 14 August 2013[edit]

Lambert's international goal was scored on 14th August 2013.. not 13th. 74.123.198.5 (talk) 21:25, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Where is 13 August referred to? Mattythewhite (talk) 21:27, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Early life[edit]

The media keep harping on about his rejection as a schoolboy at Liverpool and then working in a beetroot factory. Shouldn't this be in the article? 81.14.16.31 (talk) 05:07, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Needs a source before being added. Mattythewhite (talk) 10:24, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 30 May 2014[edit]

Please change the fact that he plays for Southampton to Liverpool, as he has moved for a fee around 4 million plus add ons. Thanks

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. — {{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 11:52, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Technically of Team[edit]

Although Rickie has signed for Liverpool the player registration cannot be transferred until July 1st.

So until that day he represents Southampton and England — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.17.44.234 (talk) 16:50, 2 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a source to verify that? Mattythewhite (talk) 16:57, 2 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Beetroot factory[edit]

Many press articles mention that Lambert worked in a beetroot factory to make ends meet during his early career. Can someone add this to the article? 78.147.101.250 (talk) 08:30, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It's already there, in the Macclesfield section. --GedUK  11:05, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
