Clearly notable person. Published author of four books and martial artist known by all koryu researchers. I will continue adding references to this article. jni (talk) 09:21, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

While I completely agree, the beginning in the article could make this fact a little more clear. "A martial artist" does not sound very notable, "headmaster or Tenshin Shōden Katori Shintō-ryū" a lot more so. Now I'm not sure if headmaster is the proper word to use, but I'm sure you can find a little bit less longwinding way to tell that he actually is the current boss. That should be in the first sentence of the article. --90.129.16.170 (talk) 08:20, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Book in French[edit]

If I judge it on the title, that's a translation of the Deity and the Sword. Mentioning original Japanese titles and translations of one book together could be great, although I am not sure it is necessary to list all non-English translations here on English Wikipedia. --90.129.16.170 (talk) 08:22, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I listed it separately because I was not sure if it is just a translation. It could be something more. French Wikipedia seems to indicate that it has recent (2002) edition or printing, which is not true for the original Japanese/English Deity and the Sword, which has been out of print for decades. jni (talk) 13:27, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
