There is a really silly contradiction between the explanation of the name of the River Swilly here and the name of Loch Swilly into which it flows: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lough_Swilly. I think this is the better/more likely one, but it also needs demythologising.Freuchie (talk) 15:45, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
