Was the house fire a suicide pact?[edit]

A South African friend heard that the the fire was a suicide pact. When the fire approached, the others fled, leaving Farquarson to face the fire alone, according to my friend's 3rd hand history. Using Google, I found corroboration of this story in unreliable sources, unfortunately, some years ago.

It would be a great contribution to clarify and expand on the circumstances of Farquharson's death, with very accurate citations from reliable sources. Thanks, Kiefer.Wolfowitz (talk) 14:30, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
