Widespread criticism 2007/08

It seems like this should be mentioned in the article. Loads of good sources (Sky Sports, bbc.co.uk, most newspapers, must be loads of Spanish sources) have criticised not just his performance but his behaviour this season. It is widely accepted that he has been playing badly, that he has gained weight and is staying out partying then missing training. I feel that the article should mention this. Having said that, I'm struggling to find sources to back it up, but they are out there. 81.96.160.6 (talk) 05:54, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Broken Source

Source 4, supporting Ronaldinho's massive goalscoring feat and linked to the website for Four-Four-Two Magazine, is broken. If this isn't fixed, that section is unsourced and should be removed. Max xxx (talk) 20:20, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Please get rid of the IPA pronunciation.

Ronaldinho as Afro-Brazilian?

Ronaldinho was formerly listed in the article Afro-Brazilian but somebody recently removed him. Should he be listed there or not? (I have my own guess but I don't think that my opinion on this is worth anything.) -- Writtenonsand (talk) 14:05, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

To an American he would be considered as "black", but in Brazil he is considered Pardo and not Afro-Brazilian (Pele would be an example of an Afro-Brazilian). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.76.173.68 (talk) 01:08, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
That is utter nonsense! Of course he is considered black in Brazil... Rsazevedo msg 13:16, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

AC Milan move?

No mention of the "General" contract signed by him and Milan?

Ronaldinho set for Serie A

It's not totally offical, but surely worth a mention? Xkingoftheworldx (talk) 01:05, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

I think it is best to wait until the transfer is completed (all bar the actual move of the player, which won't happen until the transfer window). Many transfers fall apart at varying stages, for different reasons. Dreaded Walrus t c 01:22, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

I've added many cited facts about transfers. All are from notable, reputable news sites. that he has agreed personal terms with Milan is a fact, given it has been confirmed by his agent, AC Milan, Barcelona and has NOT been reported as tapping up by Barcelona. He has also been clearly linked with Chelsea and Manchester City - both clubs, managers, player and agent have commented on this and it is stated in the article that no firm offer has been made by either (again, all cited). That he is out for the rest of the season injured is a fact. The nature of the injury itself is a fact.

People, Ronaldinho has scored for AC Milan in an official league match against Inter Milan. You might want to update that.

That he is unhappy at Barcelona is a bit dodgy, have added several cited references from his agent that confirm this - this bit might have to go(?)Jw2034 (talk) 23:14, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

The unhappy comment has gone. the cited article does not give confirmation from his agent, it 'quotes sources close to his agent' which is, as you say, dodgy, and there is (was) a a contradictory reference there from his 'boss' saying he was very happy. The Man C and Chelsea links are merely non-notable. from the cite: "City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson said on Monday he would love club owner Thaksin Shinawatra to buy Ronaldinho." so what? My manager said the same thing. If you really want to put them in I can find another couple of dozen equally non-notable interests to put in. The Chelsea cite merely consists of a quote from rijkaard saying abramoviches millions won't buy him.--ClubOranjeTalk 11:22, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

He officialy is now a Milan Player [hence the edit] NaminatoR (talk) 15 July 2008 —Preceding comment was added at 21:30, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

He hasn't signed yet. Agreeing to a deal (in principle) is not the same as signing a contract. The AC Milan details should wait until it's official, per WP:CRYSTAL. --Madchester (talk) 23:44, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
It's been confirmed; he is now a Milan player. Check out Milan's website, Barca's website, and any of the major football sites around the world. It's a done and dusted deal, and I think it ought to be reflected on the main page. A.C. Milan, 2008- . Okay? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.38.113.100 (talk) 05:34, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

There's an error in the Career totals for the 07-08 season. It says he made 17 appearances in the league before going onto say he only made 14 appearances in all competions. 78.32.67.171 (talk) 11:18, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

Ronaldinho

There should be some new photos of him in his AC Milan jersey... as in that celebration they had in the San Siro with 40,000 fans showing up. Perhaps that can be added to his page... I'm unsure of copyright limitations, but it would be nice to see. Here are some examples:

I think these are all public domain, but I'm not sure. Gcarini (talk) 21:40, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

We can't use them, free stuff only mate ;) BanRay 00:21, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Then well I think someone ought to find some free pictures with him in that Milan celebration... it would only be appropriate. 69.104.19.84 (talk) 01:47, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Height

I've notice that this article lists his height as 1.81m (5'11.5"). But I was looking at his Yahoo Olympic page and it says he's 1.80m (5'10"). Since Yahoo has a personal page for every Olympics atheletes, I assume they have a credible source and didnt just google the term "[athlete's name]'s height" for each and every Olympian. His weight may vary, so I am not going to comment on that. But I dont think his height would change. http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/beijing/bra/+Ronaldinho/243138 Elsonlam1 (talk) 02:21, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Idiots are changing it to Cardiff City and Manchester City and I took time to put it right, and it wouldn't let me change it back. "Registered users only" it said, and I am, but these other idiots are changing it on purpose. Can they be prevented from doing edits, please? —Preceding unsigned comment added by FoxElipsus (talkcontribs) 23:42, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Anyone see that header?

I added some information on that splendid goal that Ronaldinho scored by a header... what an amazing sight. Hope it's not too biased. And someone please update the stats. He has played more than just 1 game. I think 4 now, with 1 goal. Gcarini (talk) 20:56, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
