Too much D&D?[edit]

"The blunt shape of the meteor ball will deal concussive damage rather than piercing." Does the rope dart do 2d6 per hit as well? Or was it 1d6 plus open wounds? I can't remember its been too long since i last did kung fu. Shardakar (talk) 13:07, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that an excellent addition to this page would be the following link: How to Make a Rope Dart. It is the most comprehensive tutorial available for ropedarts on the web. Many users researching rope darts are ultimately searching for a way to make their own; thus, this page would be highly valuable and useful to them. Additionally, the linked page provides perspective on a rope dart, achieved only from a maker's and practitioner's perspective. Does anyone object to the inclusion of this link? The rope dart tutorial in the link above is actually pretty good. The user admits it is not the traditional method of making a rope dart however I agree it deffinently gets the job done. I would add however, when considering making your rope dart. Keep in mind that (usually) rope dats should be tappered. The thinest end being closest to the end attached to the rope then approx 3/4 of the way twords the point should be the thikest end. In other words it should go from rope to the hole its attached to and then thin to thickest and then to point. THe purpose of this is so that the dart will shoot straight.
