I agree that they probably should be merged. "Rose Red (film)" seems to indicate to me a theatrical release which this definitely was not. It was a tv miniseries. I would move the contents of this article to "Stephen King's Rose Red" and eliminate this heading. Ladydayelle 14:00, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

I didn't see a pressing reason the merge needs much discussion; it's obviously a duplicate article. I went ahead and merged & redirected. All information from "Stephen King's Rose Red" is intact. No references[edit]

The "History of the Rimbauer Family and Rose Red" has been taken straight from Joyce's induction speech in the first episode of 'Rose Red'. I'm wondering if that is allowed without reference.

Having watched the miniseries several times now I can find no reference to Rose Red having been built in a Native American burial site.

I'm surprised there is no mention of the tales connection to the real life Winchester Mystery House. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winchester_house

The summaries on this page are pretty terrible, but I lack the knowledge to fix them. Someone help!

Did King actually write this?[edit]

I was under the impression that Steven King didn't have anything to do with the writing or production of Rose Red, that his name was used and the actual writing was done by Ghost Writers. Can anyone else confirm this? If this is the case it should be noted in the main article.

-Yes, King wrote the screenplay and also was very involved in the production, he even did a cameo in the TV miniseries as the Pizza Delivery Guy. link to fictional site[edit]

in researching this movie tonight I came here first, of course. I was surprised by the existence of a website for the fictional university. I took a look. It's still there so I updated the -site verified- date in the article. The site is linked later in that sentence in reference to a particular article but it was not immediately clear to me that the link was to the website in question. I felt it should be linked earlier at the first mention of the site but I do not feel qualified to make this change. I will be happy to do it, provided there is a consensus the change is warranted.
