this would appear to be a description of a centrifugal pump, would it not be better there? Accotink2 talk 18:12, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, all centrifugal pumps are rotodynamic pump, since they all impart velocity on fluid paticles by means of centrifugal force in a radial flow- or mixed flow impeller, but not all rotodynamic pumps are centrifugal pump, since also an axial flow impeller/propeller works on this principle, but does in a very miniscule degree induce a radial velocity component on the fluid particles. Mainly an axial velocity component is imparted to the particles in the axial flow impeller and flow is obtained without centrifugal force. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.134.27.194 (talk) 07:52, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
