BetacommandBot 04:02, 28 August 2007 (UTC) I just wanted to comment on the first line of the introduction of this article where it says Rowdy Gaines is a "former American swimmer". He is currently a competitive age group swimmer, and currently an American. Verifiability[edit]

This article was suffering from an astonishing lack of proper sources, especially following editorialized comments. I removed comments that were not properly cited, added citations where I could find them and cleaned up this article as best I could. This is still a deficient article. I urge editors to refrain from adding information that cannot be verified and is not sourced properly. We do not publish original work on Wikipedia. God bless and happy editing.
