Credit where credit is due[edit]

The article rightfully acknowledges the role of the Royal Engineers. But that acknowledgement obscures the fact that the key individual was Dr John Vernon Seddall, who took a leading role in planning the hospital and was well-loved in the community, as recognized in the tribute to Dr. Seddall written on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the hospital.
