Hello.Has anyone out there got any memories regarding Glen Faba.As a boy nearly a half century ago.We fished along the River Stort and I can remember Glen Faba vividly, it was not a place to enter.Fierce guard dogs patrolled the area. And at the time could be described as a shanty town.Moving forward to the late 60s I got into conversation with the local lock keeper who went on to describe the day Great Train Robber Roy"The Weasel"James was apprehended at Glen Faba.Again in the 1970s the place was in the news for all the wrong reasons, an old lady had died there and her body lay undiscovered for many months.After much legal wrangling over ownership the place was shut down and the site cleared.But still the name lives on in the form of Glen Faba lake.Northmetpit 12:16, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Category[edit]

The article is already in the category "Villages in Essex". Since Essex is in England, the category "Villages in England" is superfluous - the first implies the second, and is therefore unnecessary. If you check out the Category:Villages in England you'll find that all of the villages are listed under their county category. Stephenb (Talk) 22:28, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

School merge[edit]

I have suggested that Roydon Primary School should be merged here as per WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES. Any comments appreciated. CalzGuy (talk) 05:23, 14 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I would respectfully disagree. The school is a village landmark, and the building is of local historical importance, hence feel it should be kept.(Spymo (talk) 16:36, 21 October 2016 (UTC))[reply]

But 'local historical importance' doesn't meet WP:N. It's not a good enough reason for having an article. CalzGuy (talk) 20:27, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
