There is no such a thing as an airport in Ruzniov, neither Zlate Piesky lake resort. Read the map for god's sake! --dusoft 20:33, July 11, 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice. I have read the map just to be sure. Both Zlate Piesky and the Airport are situated in Trnavka, which is part of Ruzinov. Fair enough for me... Sf222 12:24, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: The Milan Rastislav Stefanik international airport is in Vajnory, not in Ružinov[edit]

I strongly disagree and—as you are not the first disputing this—I have made every effort to determine whether I am right.

In Vajnory there is the sports Vajnory airport ("Letisko Vajnory") which, I think, is closed now. Maybe you meant that.

The MRS International Airport spans four districts:

  • Ruzinov,
  • Vrakuna (did you mistake Vajnory for Vrakuna?),
  • Ivanka pri Dunaji (outside of Bratislava),
  • Most pri Bratislave (outside of Bratislava).

By looking at the map, at least 60% of the airport lies in Ruzinov, including all the airport's buildings and other facilities. The other districts only host parts of the two runways. Unfortunately there is no good online map of Bratislava's districts…

One more objection can be raised against Ruzinov as the home of the airport. Ruzinov is further split into 3 parts: Ruzinov, Nivy and Trnavka. (Please note I am not saying that Bratislava II is split into Ruzinov, Vrakuna and Biskupice.) As it happens, those 60% of the airport lie in Trnavka. That, however, does not mean they don't lie in Ruzinov. Bratislava has 17 districts and Ruzinov (= Ruzinov + Nivy + Trnavka) is one of them. Trnavka is not. Trnavka is a cadastral area in Ruzinov. This page is about Ruzinov, which contains Trnavka, which hosts the airport.
