Disambiguation required[edit]

Currently there are two published books with the primary title Rules Compendium - a 3.5 Edition and a 4th Edition. As such, some means of differentiating between the two editions needs to be accounted for within Wikipedia. Particularly since there is a link to this article from the 4th Edition section Dungeons & Dragons Essentials of the D&D Editions wiki entry/article. However, this Rules Compendium article is only about the 3.5 Edition. One of the following needs to be done:

  • creation of a Disambiguation Page & new wiki entry for Rules Compendium 4th Edition
  • reformat existing page into a generic Rules Compendium entry with specific sections for 3.5 & 4 Edition books.
  • correct link if D&D Essentials article is referencing the wrong article.
  • the link may only be referencing that the 4th Edition book follows the same format, or layout, as the 3.5 Edition book - thus requiring additional clarity.

As I am not sufficiently aware of D&D's current status I am not the correct person to try and clarify / correct entries. Besides I hate editing wikis; unfortunately I hate incorrect data more. Option #2 sounds about right for me; it's how we've done things like Player's Handbook and Dungeon Master's Guide, for example. 129.33.19.254 (talk) 23:02, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
