Fair use rationale for Image:RunAround CD5.jpg[edit]

Image:RunAround CD5.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Jam Band?[edit]

I noticed that Blues Traveler is referred to as a jam band in the opening of this article. Their own article states that they are a "rock band", though "Jam" appears fourth in the listing of genres in the infobox on the right.

It seems to me that the song fits better in several categories other than "jam"; just because it includes potentially improvised passages does not make it jam music. That would be like calling the Miles Davis Quintet a jam band (okay, maybe not quite) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.163.165.236 (talk) 09:45, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

name[edit]

Shouldn't it be Run-around with a lowercase 'A' like is printed on the CD? --Gluphokquen gunih (talk) 16:25, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it should, but apparently Wikipedia formatting rules take precedence over reality.TravelingCat (talk) 19:37, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fake Band In Video[edit]

I wonder if anyone has noticed that they look a lot like the Counting Crows. Was it intentional because vocally they sound similar? Paula Bunion (talk) 20:35, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No idea, but that's probably a question better suited for the bluestraveler.com forums than this talk page.TravelingCat (talk) 19:40, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blues rock[edit]

I don't think this sounds at all like blues rock. Wolf O'Donnel (talk) 22:44, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't appear that the genre has been sourced. You'd be welcome to challenge it. DonIago (talk) 01:54, 25 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Debut Date[edit]

The debut section states dates in 1974 and 1975 that the song was first played. These are not sourced, and seem dubious, given that it was twenty years before the song was released, thirteen years before Blues Traveler was formed, and Popper would have been seven years old at the time.

Archive.org has a recording that claims to be the initial full band performance on 21 Feb 1994, matching the month and day, but nineteen years later, so the correct years might actually be 1993 and 1994. WI Peter H (talk) 03:40, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
