descent[edit]

188.230.138.189 recently added statement that Zhiganshin's mother is German and his father is Tatar (diff). I've stated that it's unsourced. IP's evidence has included:

"It is a well-known fact."
Providing this link and stating "It's about his sister Nelli, but they are siblings, so it stands for both of them."
"it is mentioned in Nelli's article, can also be in Ruslan's too."
"Also, notice he is already in a category Russian people of German descent."

My replies:

"then I'm sure you won't have a problem finding a source"
There are multiple issues here:
- The website is not WP:RS.
- The relevant paragraph on website lists "Wikipedia" as it's source. See WP:CIRCULAR.
- synthesis
It's uncited in Nelli Zhiganshina, thus not providing any proof for here.
Anyone can add a category. Having category added is not a proof nor a source.

So, my opinion, either a reliable source needs to be added for verifiability or it shouldn't be the article. Kirin13 (talk) 04:19, 5 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
