Weasel words and references[edit]

This article contains a number of weasel words (prominant US heart surgeon? the untimely passing of his daughter?) and needs to be cleaned up a good deal. Also, it only provides two "references", both of which are LDS church related. I have a strange feeling that this article isn't quite legitmate. Shamrox 09:37, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think this might be more a function of your ignorance of the accomplishments of Dr. Nelson. Tell me, when is a child's passing "timely". Exactly how would one state a parent's diffculty in losing a child? Since I have been in those shoes I can speak with a degree of experience; something I suspect you are completely lacking. It is very difficult, it is not timely, it never is timely. I also suspect you might have a personal bias when it comes to subjects that have anything to do with Mormonism.
Please explain how you came up with a reason for placing the category of Polygamists on this individual? (I notice that it has since been removed). Having a second wife after the first wife has passed away does not fit the definition. If you do not know the facts, seek them out; if you are too lazy to do so, please do not make any edits on the subject. I realize this is blunt, but you have demonstrated an extreme lack of judgement. Storm Rider (talk) 07:34, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I can't beleive this guy wont eat bacon. when has god ever asked people not to eat bacon? proves that mormonism is BS. 205.145.64.64 15:44, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am not aware of Dr. Nelson's personal eating habits; however, I do know the Word of Wisdom and there are no restrictions on eating bacon. I suspect that Dr. Nelson, if he does not eat bacon, has come to a conclusion that for the health of his heart he does not eat fatty or greasy foods, bacon being one of them. Ever hear of a little religious movement called Judaism? How about Islam? --TrustTruth (talk) 00:10, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Recent Conference Talks by Elder Nelson[edit]

I am curious as to the reason why my edit of the most recent Conference Talks given by Elder Nelson has been reversed. I can understand why we don't want to have too many addresses under that subject, but if that's the case, then perhaps the oldest two should be removed to allow readers to access the newest two more easily. I have done so, but would welcome and accept a revision of it after a response has been given. Thoughts? --Jgstokes 22:19, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
