Ryan Bailey is not listed on the Tigers' website.[edit]

Ryan Bailey is not listed on the Castleford Tigers website. Is he still a part of the team? Michael Glass (talk) 13:35, 25 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There's no news saying otherwise, and he played last week. He was signed after the season had already started, so it's probably just that the club haven't updated their website. J Mo 101 (talk) 06:59, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

While[edit]

I'm afraid I cannot agree with you with regards to the use of "while". It is redundant given that there is a year at the end of the sentence. Were that to be devoid of a year in that sentence, it could be said to be warranted, but given that it is there you are essentially confirming that a photo is a static and not a live video feed. I don't believe that was your intent for one second. The while could be used were he to playing in a specific game, but given that he is playing for Leeds and the photo tracks back to the year in question, it would appear to be overkill in the extreme. I find it is at odds with your other strongly held position regarding potentially redundant words or phrases.Theanonymousentry (talk) 08:54, 8 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Having gone through a great number of articles from a range of topics, the best solution to remove a "double time stamp", would be with, ie "Bailey with the Leeds Rhinos in 2012" or "Bailey with Leeds in 2012". Neither of which are great, but they would at least appear to be a path forwards. It has not been implemented, but remains open as a discussion.Theanonymousentry (talk) 08:50, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
There are avenues for more descriptive words, if it is your contention that he is not "playing". With would be a solution, far from perfect, but would be a step forwards from the "double time stamp".Theanonymousentry (talk) 08:42, 12 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Assuming that this is acceptable, I will amend the caption to feature "with", unless there is any feedback.Theanonymousentry (talk) 08:54, 15 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
