@Marquardtika: Any time biographical information is added, like a date of birth, a source needs to be cited per WP:DOB. That's why I added the tag. I wasn't going to speculate where the source was but a citation needs to be evident. Snickers2686 (talk) 19:44, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Marquardtika: Well I asked said question at the Teahouse, if MyLife is considered a "Reliable source" and the answer I got was this response essentially saying no one source can be reliable about anything. As I state in my Teahouse question, I honestly think MyLife is referenced far more than what administrators realize for birth dates and other biographical information but that's just my hunch. I was told by an admin a while ago that any birth date that is stated without a source should be removed immediately. I told said admin that there are THOUSANDS of articles without citations for the birthdate, but no outright objection either, but again, I was told if there's no citation for the date of birth, then it needs to be removed. Of course a committee questionnaire only cites the birth year for most nominees and so far it hasn't differed from what I found on MyLife, so it makes me think the actual dates are correct. I would say there's no malice in placing a given date (with the proper citation) on any nominee's article, unless they object outright, otherwise, even categorically you can only go so far as to include the year, so again, to me, no harm done. Yes, per WP:BLP we shouldn't be including unsourced dates of birth, and per WP:BLPPRIMARY, we shouldn't be using public records to source date of births. I'm going to remove the date of birth from this article because it is unsourced, and I'm going to remove the BLP sources tag since it seems that was the content the tag was addressing. In general, I think MyLife is a poor source for dates of birth, because it relies on public records and is a primary source. We really don't need the dates of birth for public figures unless they've been fairly widely reported in secondary sources. Committee questionnaires, etc., are primary sources that we should avoid for dates of birth. Marquardtika (talk) 16:00, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
