revert reasons[edit]

  • Youth team period : Article states he was youth team captain in 2012/13. His 1st (and from what I can see only) appearance in a Palace match day squad was in late 2013. The rest of the time he's been on loan, injured or in jail. Many youth team players sign professional contract before they join the 1st team squad.
  • Empty rows: I checked other pages of players who have been out on loan more than play for their parent team. All of them listed just the seasons where appearances were made.
  • Squad navbox : Palace website has Inniss in the U23 squad, not the 1st team squad.

Please let me know if there are any guidelines which overrule this, as I couldn't find anything relevant in the style guide at WP:FOOTY Spike 'em (talk) 23:39, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'd be quite shocked if you've checked *all* player articles to see whether parent clubs are included. Even if it's all rows of zeroes, they should still be included, or else it's not explicit to readers the club the player was on loan from. Mattythewhite (talk) 23:53, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No I've not checked them all: I had put a qualifier of "some" before "other" but took it back out for some reason. As an example Patrick Bamford has no mention of Chelsea in his career stats section. From a brief check on more players it seems that those who are loaned out by Man Utd do have empty lines, those by Chelsea don't, so there is no obvious consensus on what to do here. I'm not sure we need to show the parent club in the stats section, it should be covered in the main body of the article and infobox. Spike 'em (talk) 08:05, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
