he IS highly strung[edit]

hi, james raj this is birdeditor on the cricket side. i watch cricket and one of the most reacting players i have recently came to know about is S sreesanth. i was surprised and burst out laughing when i saw him dancing that way on the wicket of Imran Farhat in the 3rd and final ODI of the hutch cup in karachi, there have also been many other times he reacted somewhat overly. Later on cricinfo he also admitted himself that it is a challenge for him to calm down when he is bowling. a great and entertaining bowler however. Birdeditor 01:24, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think I may have to agree with you. The second test against South Africa only finished today, and during India's second innings, Sreesanth received a talking-to from both umpires for his language as he constantly chirped at the bowlers. It's kind of sad that some bad-blood seemed to develop between the two teams right at the close of the match. Sreesanth was also involved in some very tense antics with Andre Nel when he faced Nel during the first test. Cenobite 15:16, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Section on controversies[edit]

Sreesanth has been involved in a lot of controversies on and off the field, which require mention in the article, especially because of his aggressive nature. Please see similar sections in the articles on Ricky Ponting, Makhaya Ntini, Shane Warne, Greg Chappell, Arjuna Ranatunga, Heath Streak et al. I have observed the controversy sections in this article have been removed several times. The laws that are not applicable to the other articles I have quoted need not apply to the article on Sreesanth. Please do not remove these sections.

Additionally, Wikipedia allows you to enter information of controversial nature, pertaining to an individual. Wikipedia states that the view of the object should also be given, however odd it might be. These guidelines are followed in this article. Authentic reference website links are also given. Edit Request[edit]

He is not a Hindu Brahmin - he is a Hindu Nair. Please correct the statement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 101.63.193.197 (talk) 06:45, 16 May 2013 (UTC) He is not a Hindu brahmin but a nair.[reply]

Pls add the following:

Sreesanth is a religious Hindu, but also visits a church near his home. Due to his sporting a symbol that looks like a cross, he has been often mistaken by some in the media as a Christian.after the ban terminate his selected for indian team. his playing for india against srilanka odi series.

source:[1], [2]

Not done: Part of the statement you propose is contradicted by one of the sources you give (the Daily Mail link says he is a non-practising Hindu, not a religious one), and the rest is entirely unsupported by the sources (neither source says that he has been mistaken for a Christian or that he goes to a church "near his home"). In addition, he does not "sport a symbol that looks like a cross" according to your sources; he sometimes makes the sign of the cross, which is something completely different. Clarification of name[edit]

The article is titled "S. Sreesanth", the infobox on the right lists his full name as "Shanthakumaran Sreesanth", the body text then describes how neither "S Sreesanth", "Shanthakumaran Sreesanth" or "Sree Sreesanth" are correct. Only "Sreesanth". If Wikipedia is saying "S. Sreesanth" is incorrect, and that "Shanthakumaran Sreesanth" is incorrect, then why does Wikipedia use those two names. I suggest we rename the article to "Sreesanth" and refer to him always as "Sreesanth". Not "Shanthakumaran Sreesanth", as he clearly does not wish to be referred to as that. 105.184.57.33 (talk) 15:13, 22 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sreesanth was never the bowling coach of Rajasthan Royals[edit]

Sreesanth was never the bowling coach of Rajasthan Royals. Please remove the lines "he is bowling coach for Rajasthan Royals" in the first paragraph and also remove the "Coaching career" title, as he was never the coach for any cricket team.
