You evidently can't tell the difference between an advertisement and an encyclopedia article. You have ZERO credibility, simpleton.

The IP has a valid point. Don't misunderstand: I am a big fan of SAS as a manufacturer of high quality goods made in America. I want SAS represented in en:wp. That said, a corporation's article is not their wp webpage, and has to be handled carefully in order not to slip-slide away into a simple ad. And ALL points of view have to be welcomed on talkpages. Incivility such as name-calling is never acceptable. Image:SAS shoes logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Siesta Valley Ranch walk[edit]

Even though the free walk held at SAS's Siesta Valley Ranch in Medina, Texas, just celebrated its 20th consecutive year/walk yesterday (October 10, 2009), I'm having trouble finding reliably sourced articles about the walk. In fact, the #1 hit for the walk is to my own website's calendar entry for the walk--ironic and sad at the same time. 20 years of walking and no one has written about it? Probably more a case of Internet sites not picking up/archiving older articles about it. This comment is to elevate this so others can try to locate good sources (not personal blogs, etc.) about the walk, its history, origins, goals, etc. The SASshoes.com website does have a page on Siesta Valley Ranch (at http://www.sasshoes.com/main/about_siesta_valley_ranch.php) but it doesn't even mention the walk--they've always seemed to let the walk pretty much promote itself, so this isn't entirely surprising, but it's certainly not helpful when trying to source the info about the walk properly. :) - Ageekgal (talk) 17:40, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article does not mention anything about the factory that SAS Shoemakers has in Acuna, Mexico. Also, there is no mention that the outsoles of many SAS shoes are manufactured in China. The article deceptively purports that SAS Shoes are American made, however, that is just not the case.

The official site gives San Antonio Shoemakers® as the company name. "SAS" and the SAS logo are registered trademarks, but not "SAS Shoemakers" or "SAS Shoes".
