Removed from Shimano by 147.10.181.10:

In 2004 the SRAM group acquired the capacity to compete with Shimano in building complete groupsets for mountain bikes, including complete drivetrains, brake systems, and suspension components. With refinements by both Shimano and SRAM, such as the different leverage ratio used by SRAM rear deraillers and Shimano's move to Rapid Rise deraillers, many of the components produced by each company are incompatible with the other's products. Many users of high-end components believe SRAM's high-end products perform better and are more durable than Shimano's, so as of the beginning of 2005, many users are threatening to switch to SRAM groupsets as a result of Shimano's move to proprietary standards.

Patent Listing???

Why are we listing all the patents held by SRAM? SRAM is innovative. We know. If we continue this practice, the article on IBM would be immense!

I agree. I am editing it out. Sbohra 13:48, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

"The system is simple to set up and stays in tune longer than competitive systems." This isn't very NPOV. Can someone maybe cite for this? 65.93.108.41 02:35, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:SRAMLogo.jpg

Image:SRAMLogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:44, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Neutrality dispute

This article states/alludes that SRAM's products are superior.

Citation needed. I don't see that in the article.
I don't see what the issue is either. 83.78.3.65 (talk) 17:01, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
